Village of Healing is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $250,000 grant from Saint Luke’s Foundation as part of the Foundation’s recent $2.15 million investment in 13 organizations working to advance health equity throughout Northeast Ohio.
The funding supports Saint Luke’s Foundation’s mission and strategic focus on creating healthier communities through five key areas: Belonging and People Power, Economic Vitality, Placemaking and Placekeeping, Holistic Well-Being, and Lifelong Learning.
The one-year grant will provide general operating support for Village of Healing’s holistic physical and mental health care services, as well as peer support programs designed to address gaps in culturally responsive care across Northeast Ohio. The funding will help expand access to integrated care models that improve chronic disease management, mental health outcomes, maternal health, and overall community well-being.
The grant recognizes the important role culturally responsive healthcare plays in reducing health disparities and improving the quality of life for underserved communities. Through this support, Village of Healing will continue to expand services that address both physical and mental health needs while building stronger connections between healthcare providers and the communities they serve.
Thank you to Saint Luke’s Foundation for its continued commitment to improving the health of individuals and families in our community and for recognizing the need for access to quality culturally sensitive healthcare models that are proven to decrease health disparities and provide healthier outcomes.
