Co-founder, CEO
Dàna M. Langford is a Cleveland native. As a certified nurse midwife and previous experience as a women’s health nurse practitioner, her expertise initiated and expanded while working in Albany, Georgia, and St. Petersburg, Florida. She returned to her roots in Cleveland, Ohio.
While working as a certified nurse midwife and serving on numerous committees, she observed Black women were not being heard in the discussion of racial disparities in maternal and infant health.
She co-founded Village of Healing, a community development organization focused on healing and empowering the village to eliminate social determinants of health and decrease disparities.
Under that umbrella The Village of Healing Center was developed to deliver quality health care that meets the social and cultural needs of patients.
She founded Dàna M. Langford Consulting, an enterprise focused on uplifting communities and addressing systemic injustices through education, and advocacy.
Through core competencies in nursing, midwife coaching and community education with cultural sensitivity, this uniquely positions the organization to empower clients, to provide specific evidence-based evaluation, and to implement customized consultation.
With over 15 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife in both clinical and administrative roles within hospital systems, Dàna Langford is deeply committed to serving the Black community.
She seamlessly bridges the gap between bedside care and corporate leadership, driven by an unwavering passion to eliminate racial disparities in healthcare.
Dàna’s dedication extends beyond clinical practice to education and advocacy. She has held numerous committee positions, participated in panel discussions, and delivered lectures at prestigious Grand Rounds presentations for major healthcare systems.
A sought-after mentor and preceptor for nursing and advanced practice students, Dàna fosters the next generation of healthcare professionals
with her guidance and expertise.
Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including recognition from the Ohio Commission on Minority Health and Crain’s Cleveland Business.
Through her career, she continues to educate, empower, and advocate for Black women, embodying her mission to create equitable and inclusive healthcare environments.
