Chief Medical Officer

Amber Black, MSN, FNP-BC, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a rich background with over a decade of experience in preventive primary care, chronic disease management, and trauma-informed care.

With advanced certifications from the Ohio Board of Nursing and the ANCC, she delivers compassionate and culturally sensitive healthcare to diverse populations.

Amber’s academic achievements include a Master’s in Family Nurse Practice from Ohio University, a BSN from Cleveland State University, and a Bachelor’s in Integrated Health Service from Kent State University.

Amber currently serves as a Primary Care Provider and Chief Medical Officer at The Village of Healing Center, where her practice focuses on supporting the entire Black family to improve health outcomes within the Black community.

The center is home to one of the first and only pediatric and postpartum health models that prioritize comprehensive care for both mother and baby. This innovative approach ensures routine access to primary care, women’s health, and mental health services, fostering holistic wellness for families.

Amber passionately serves her community through health education and awareness, striving to empower others with the knowledge to lead healthier lives. As a published author, mentor, and volunteer leader, Amber is deeply involved in community health programs, chronic disease self-management education, and nonprofit board service.

Her dedication reflects her commitment to holistic wellness and advancing health equity.
